Beautiful historic downtown Laredo celebrates Earth Day with a big, welcome blast of fresh air with Saturday’s 5th Annual Hoppy Earth Day Brunch and Market Crawl Fest, an event sponsored by Cultura Beer Garden and a bevy of merchant, food truck, and dining partners that will host sites for market vendors to showcase their wares at 10 locations

The Brunch and Market Crawl Fest, which begins at 10 a.m., kicks off at La India Packing Company, a spice house celebrating its 99th year in business. The family-owned business at 1620 Marcella is also home to La India’s Tasting Room, which will offer samplings from its menu and spice list.

Participants can pick up a punch card at La India for the Festival’s prize raffle of a staycation at La Posada Hotel, tickets to Saturday evening’s The Border is Beautiful concert at the Laredo Center for the Arts, and a sampler basket of vendor giveaways.

From La India, the Fest continues west for more brunch bite samplers and vendor puestos to Café Radical at 1020 Main (Washington and Main) in the St. Peter’s Historic District, Cultura Beer Garden at 916 Salinas Avenue, Kai Tod at 815 Salinas Avenue, Bae Brunch Club at 1219 Matamoros, Los Olvidados at 309 Flores, Sweet Dreams at 1305 Iturbide, Livi’s Mexicue at 813 Iturbide, and the grounds of the City-owned former Federal Building at 1300 Matamoros.

The Fest, which was organized by ValXcontra of Cultura Beer Garden and Bae Brunch Club, continues through 3 p.m.
