As Uvalde goes through the heartbreak of burying their beautiful children and teachers, we have the same shameless deflections from elected cowards who have all the power to stop the carnage but refuse to act. They blame mental health and gut all state and federal programs to help the most vulnerable sufferers of mental illness. They blame video games. They blame a lack of morality.
They suggest asinine solutions, such as arming all the teachers. Texas’ own cowardly lion, Ted Cruz, actually recommends having only one door to every school.
What is never mentioned is the obvious solution. Ban all assault rifles and large capacity magazines. All civilized countries have the same societal problems and have no mass murders with AR-15s very year. Our country is the only one that has multiple mass shootings weekly, monthly, and yearly.
Most NRA Republicans cancelled their shining appearances at the organization’s recent Houston Convention with BS excuses, but not Ted Cruz. Since he is bought and paid for by the NRA, he could not decline to appear.
The deranged narcissist ex-president, who was soundly defeated two years ago, could not miss the opportunity to pretend to care and proceeded to butcher the name of each precious child and then obscenely danced afterwards. The song “Hold On I’m Coming” blared over the loud speakers as he clapped on stage for himself and grinned.
That is the lowlife that millions want to run for President again?
After the Sutherland Church shooting some years ago our own illustrious Congressman, a proud NRA member, was asked if he would be returning his NRA political contribution. He allegedly answered, “Why should I?” He was also quoted as saying, “We shouldn’t ban automobiles because thousands are killed by them every year.”
I am positive he is examining his Catholic conscience over how to initiate gun reform debate in Congress. He passionately defends unborn fetuses but apparently living fourth grade students are not worthy of federal protection.
The shootings are getting closer and closer to Laredo. Every citizen where a mass shooting has occurred has told the press, “We never imagined it would happen here, not in our town.”
Folks, no town is safe. We need to vote Abbott, Cruz, Patrick, and Paxton out of office as soon as possible. How many times have all of these clowns come to Laredo surrounded by a huge contingency of law enforcement to solemnly proclaim that only they can keep us safe from the brown skinned invaders?
The largest budget item for the City of Uvalde is for law enforcement support. Remember Operation Lone Star? How did that turn out? The biggest danger to all American citizens is a homegrown domestic terrorist who can buy a semiautomatic large capacity rifle easier than prescription drugs. Abbott never appears in public without ten or more beefy DPS troopers behind him. Why?
When Beto O’Rourke confronted those idiots on the stage in Uvalde everyone on stage ordered their protection to escort him out. The mayor of Uvalde called him a sick SOB. The true sick SOBs were all on stage spewing lies and solemnly offering thoughts and prayers as they do after every mass shooting. Take these weapons of mass death away from everyone. Only then will the record number of murdered innocents subside.
And these so-called leaders are supposed to represent the people and provide domestic tranquility! They are reminiscent of the old RCA logo of the little dog leaning its ear toward a gramophone.
