EL CENIZO, TEXAS — The City of El Cenizo will break ground August 11 for the Lamar Bruni Vergara El Cenizo Public Library Renovation & Facility Improvement Project.
The 10:30 a.m. ceremony will commemorate the beginning of construction improvements that will enhance one of the City’s most valued educational and cultural resources. The project includes $33,380.00 in renovations and facility improvements designed to create a more welcoming, functional, and accessible environment for library patrons.
The renovation and facility improvement project are considered an investment in educational opportunities, literacy, technology, and community engagement.
The renovation is funded through the Mellon Foundation by way of a grant awarded to the U.S.- Mexico Border Philanthropy Partnership for the benefit of the Lamar Bruni Vergara El Cenizo Public Library., which is located at 510 Rodriguez St.
