The City of Laredo and District 6 Council Member Dr. Tyler King will host the 3rd Annual Día de los Muertos celebration at North Central Park on Saturday, Nov. 1.

The event, which honors culture, remembrance, and community spirit, is open to the public. The festivities, which begin at 4:00 p.m. and continue to 9:00 p.m., offers music, entertainment, and tradition.

Guests can look forward to a wide range of activities, including delicious food options from local vendors, live mariachi performances, and ballet folklórico.

A community altar will serve as a tribute to loved ones who are no longer with us, while informational booths and family-friendly attractions ensure that attendees of all ages can enjoy this cultural celebration together.

The event also features the highly anticipated 5K Glow Run and Catrina Contest, as runners and participants light up the night in honor of Día de los Muertos traditions.

Runners can pick up their packets earlier that same day from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the North Central Park Pool Area. Those who have not yet registered will still have the opportunity to sign up during packet pick-up or in advance of the race start time.

Families, friends, and visitors are encouraged to join this spectacular evening dedicated to celebrating life, remembering loved ones, and enjoying one of Laredo’s most cherished community events.
