The Laredo Little Theatre is inviting the public to audition for its upcoming theater production, Let the Right One In by Jack Thorne. Auditions will take place Thursday, August 22 and Friday, August 23, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Laredo Little Theatre, which is located at 4802 Thomas Avenue,
The production, which will open Thursday, Oct. 24 for an eight-show pre-Halloween run, is directed by Damaris Guzman and Ricky Castillon. Individuals 16-and older are sought to form a diverse and talented cast capable of portraying the complex emotions and intense relationships that drive this dark and emotionally charged story that delves into the depths of love, isolation, and the supernatural.
No experience is necessary, however, those who audition should be prepared for cold readings. Actors of all backgrounds and experience levels who can bring depth, subtlety, and authenticity to their performance are welcome to audition.
The characters in Let the Right One In range from vulnerable and innocent to deeply mysterious and conflicted. Showtime aired Let the Right One In as a series in 2022.
The theater adaptation by Jack Thorne is billed as “an enchanting, brutal vampire myth and coming-of-age love story adapted from the best-selling novel and award-winning Swedish film of the same name by John Ajvide Lindqvist.
Show dates are scheduled for Thurs. October 24 – Sun. October 27 and Thurs. October 31 – Sun. Nov. 2, 2024.
