The Laredo Philharmonic Orchestra invites Laredoans to Let Freedom Ring, an exhilarating musical celebration of the indomitable spirit of America.

The concert is set for June 30 at 3 p.m. at the TAMIU Center for the Fine and Performing Arts.

The program’s compositions promise to resonate with the power of liberty and the rich tapestry of the American experience. Those compositions include the grandeur and triumph of Aaron Copeland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man” and George Gershwin’s iconic “Rhapsody in Blue,” a masterpiece that blends classical and jazz influences and the vibrant tapestry of American music.

Among the program’s timeless melodies are Harold Arlen’s “Over the Rainbow” and other Broadway favorites; and the patriotic compositions of John Phillip Sousa.

Tickets are available online (see QR code) or by calling (956) 763-9960. Attendance is of no cost to students and veterans.

Dr. Hector Aguero is the LPO’s Artistic Director.
