Session I of Dusty’s Junior University Summer Camp  begins June 3 for children ages 5-11; curriculum aimed at nurturing creativity, knowledge and social interaction

TAMIU’s Office of Continuing Education is gearing up for another fun, educational and engaging summer with the offering of Dusty’s Junior University Summer Camp  for children ages 5-11 years old.

Dusty’s Junior University Camp will be offered through four distinct sessions: June 3-13 (8 days); June 17-27 (7 days) ; July 1-11 (7 days); and July 15-25 (8 days). Each session will be from 7:45-3:30 p.m. Register now for Dusty’s Junior Camp here:  https://www.tamiu.edu/ce/summer-camp.shtml

Geared towards nurturing growing children’s creativity, knowledge, and social interactions, Camp members can expect to participate in fun, artistic classes, hands-on projects, and engaging group activities.

Susan Foster, TAMIU Continuing Education director, said TAMIU is dedicated to providing a safe and engaging environment for Camp participants.

“We believe in creating lasting memories through outdoor exploration, team-building activities, and a variety of enriching experiences,” Foster said, “Camp participants’ summer will be filled with laughter, learning, and the joy of making new friends.”

Price per session for 8-day Camps are the following: Tuition Only – $280 (Campers will bring their own lunch from home); Tuition and Lunch – $370 (Lunch will be provided by Aramark Dusty’s Diner, buffet-style); Tuition and Aftercare – $360; Tuition, Aftercare and Lunch -$450.

Price per session for 7-day Camps are the following: Tuition Only – $245 (Campers will bring their own lunch from home); Tuition and Lunch – $325 (Lunch will be provided by Aramark Dusty’s Diner, buffet-style); Tuition and Aftercare – $315; Tuition, Aftercare and Lunch – $395

Campers will be able to garden at the University Garden, view exciting movies at the TAMIU Lamar Bruni Vergara Planetarium, visit Rec Sports, and play baseball and soccer, Foster said.

“Camp members work closely with TAMIU’s faculty and staff to cultivate their academic skills through fun, engaging projects where they will mingle amongst each other and form new friendships,” she said, “We look forward to welcoming all Campers to TAMIU this Summer.”
