The Laredo Philharmonic commemorates its 45 years of service to the Laredo community with its Adopt a Musician campaign.
This campaign will allow orchestral players and chorale members to be “adopted” by patrons and is currently underway.
“Support for this campaign by members of the community, local businesses, and all patrons of the arts will ensure that the next generation will continue to have the opportunity to experience world class musical events,” said Dr. Joseph Crabtree, Laredo Philharmonic Board President.
Tiers for the Adopt A Musician for each Musician and Chorale member:
• Conductor – $2,000
• Concert Master – $1,000
• Chorus Master – $1,000
• Accompanist – $500
• Principal player – $500 (the first chair of any instrument)
• Section member – $250
• Chorale singers – $250
Participants in the campaign will receive:
Two season tickets for the $2,000 Conductor sponsorship; one season ticket for the $1,000 Concert Master sponsorship; one season ticket for the $1,000 Chorus Master sponsorship; two concert tickets to two concerts for the $500 Accompanist sponsorship; two tickets to two concerts for the $500 Principal Player sponsorship; two tickets to one concert for the $250 sponsorship of a Section Member; and two tickets to one concert for the $250 sponsorship of a Chorale Singer.

45TH SEASON
The Philharmonic’s 45th season is entitled “Musical Splendor” and begins Oct. 27, 2024 with “Celebration!” The program includes the works of Shostakovich, Walker, Stravinsky, and Elgar.
The second performance, “Sounds of the Season” kicks off the holiday season Dec. 8, 2024 with yuletide favorites, including sing along selections.
The third concert, the Chamber Orchestra Chorale’s “Classical Gems,” on March 30, 2025 features masterworks by by 18th century composers Vivaldi and Mozart.
The season finale on May 18, 2025, “Tell Me a Story,” presents descriptive music meant to tell a story through the music of Lieuwen, Ravel, and Rimsky Korsakov.

The Laredo Philharmonic’s 44th season culminates with a musical celebration of freedom and the indomitable spirit of America. The concert pays homage to the rich heritage of the nation through iconic compositions that resonate with the power of liberty – Aaron Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man, George Gershwin’s iconic Rhapsody in Blue, the timeless melodies of Harold Arlen’s Over the Rainbow and other Broadway favorites, and the tunes of John Phillip Sousa.
