Comedians Mario “Super Star” Salazar, Charles Allen, and Jay Lafar are on tap for the 20th Annual ‘Comedy Jam for George’ set for Friday, February 9 with two evening performances at the Laredo Little Theater. Laredoan Ponchi Herrera will host this annual WBCA event.

The Laredo Little Theatre is at 4802 Thomas Avenue. The cost of pre-sale tickets is $30. They are on sale at Laredo Paint and Decorating at 5919 San Dario Avenue during regular business hours and online at laredolittletheatre.org

“’The Comedy Jam for George’ always adds laughter and camaraderie to the WBCA celebration. We’re excited to be celebrating 20 years of crazy on-stage antics. The public is invited to support the arts and simultaneously enjoy great comedy and the company of good friends,” said LLT board member and publicist A.B. Barrera.

The Laredo Little Theatre’s Mission Statement is to preserve, develop, and promote the arts and culture in Laredo and the surrounding communities. The scope of the theatre’s programming varies in theatre arts, dance, and music. For over two decades LLT has produced comedy jams with local and out-of-town talent. During this same period, LLT gave birth to its ‘Jam for George,’ which stages rock concerts in cooperation with and under the banner of the WBCA. ‘Jam for George’ concerts have featured rock groups such as Blue Oyster Cult, Jefferson Starship, and Cheap Trick.
