Casa López Tapas Bar presents Noche Flamenca on Aug. 19, featuring dancers Laredoan Bianca Rodriguez and Drea Pacot of Austin, singer Celia Corrales, and guitarist Isaí Chacón.

Tickets for the evening of tapas, wine, and Flamenco are $50 and are available at eventbrite.com. The performance begins at 8:30 p.m. Casa López is located at 2002 Hidalgo. For further information, call (956) 462-7097.

Bianca Rodriguez began dancing Spanish Classical/Ballet at a young age with teachers Mina Gutierrez, Cristina Greco, and Jose Greco II. She is a graduate of the University of New Mexico (UNM) in Albuquerque with a Bachelor’s of Dance in Flamenco. At UNM she performed with Flamenco companies Yjastros, Juan Siddi, and EntreFlamenco.

Rodriguez has toured with Flamenco Vivo. Under the direction of Carola Zertuche/Theatre Flamenco, she worked with legendary singer Juana la del Pipa, Adela Campallo, Pastora Galván, and Carmen Ledezma.

She has performed with Grammy winner Antonio Rey for his show, “Dos Partes de Mi,” along with Mara Rey in 2019 as well as dancing in José del Tomates álbum debut Plaza Vieja in 2020, produced by Eddie and Catherine Diaz. She has performed at the Fountain Theatre in Los Angeles and Brava Theatre in San Francisco.

Rodriguez choreographed for “100 years of Flamenco,” Bay Area Flamenco’s presentation at the Herbst Theatre.

She has performed in Madrid at tablao La Cueva de Lola, under the direction of Felix de Lola where she worked with up and coming artists Cristina Soler, Juan Debel, and Paz de Manuel. Most recently Rodriguez danced in San Jose Opera’s Carmen in 2022.
