Laredo College kicked off its 75th Anniversary Gala, titled “West End Diamond Roundup,” with a press conference on Nov. 2 at the historic Ft. McIntosh Campus Kazen Student Center.
This celebration will commemorate the College’s 75-year history and its legacy as the city’s pioneering institution of higher learning. Laredo College was created to educate returning World War II soldiers and prepare them for America’s new workforce.
More than seven decades later, Laredo College continues to evolve and adapt to better serve the ever-changing needs of the community. Over the last 75 years, the College has enriched the lives of hundreds of students each semester through affordable academic, workforce, adult, and continuing education programs.
Laredo College President Dr. Minita Ramírez announced that PNC Bank will be the event’s title sponsor. She thanked PNC Bank Regional President Susana Melendez-Valencia for her generosity and support for Laredo College.
The gala is scheduled for Friday, March 24, 2023 at the Kazen Student Center. Tickets and sponsorships are available for those wishing to attend.
The College invites the community’s support through participation in the West End Diamond Roundup celebration. There are different sponsorship levels available. All proceeds will go toward financial assistance for Laredo College students, offering new programs, and for the preservation of Laredo College’s historic buildings.
