There are nine candidates on the ballot for three positions on the UISD Board of Trustees.
In the District 3 race, incumbent and board vice-president Aliza Flores Oliveros faces former UISD Supt. Roberto J. Santos and Roberto “Bobby” Villarreal.
District 5 incumbent Javier Montemayor has two challengers, José Ovando and George Rodriguez.
District 6 incumbent and board secretary Juan Roberto Ramirez will square off with Guillermo “Memo” Castro and Michelle Molina.
Early voting opens Oct. 24 and closes Nov. 4.
