The non-profit Laredo Film Society (LFS), will host a Videography 101workshop on Saturday, June 11, at LFS HQ at 510 San Agustin, Suite B.
The workshop’s goal is to expand learning about cinema concepts and practices beyond the classroom. Among the topics are basic camera functions such as exposure and depth of field, as well as composition, lighting, and filters. The cost of the workshop is $10. The class runs from 1 to 4 p.m. Reservations can be made at laredofilm.org/tickets.
Laredo videographer and marketing specialist Ana Kristel Gamboa will conduct the workshop. She has worked in video production at KGNS-TV for nearly a decade. She began hercareer in the station’s production department before joining the news department as a web producer. She moved to creative services in 2019 and now assists local businesses with marketing multi-platform solutions.
Gamboa has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Marketing and also holds a Master of Arts in English.
