The Rio Grande International Study Center (RGISC) commemorates Earth Day 2022 with the “Clean Air 5K Run, Walk, + Bike!” on April 30 at Father McNaboe Park.
The route offers a scenic walk or ride along the Rio Grande, as well as an Earth Day market.
Registration begins at 7 a.m. The 5K event begins at 8 a.m. and the mountain bike competition at 9 a.m.
The fee for registration is $25 and $30 on site.
Age categories for the 5K Race are 10 and under, 11-14,15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and older.
The top three in each age category will receive medals. Overall male and female winners will receive trophies.
Mountain bike age categories are 10 and under – half lap,
10 to 12 – one lap, 12 and up – one lap, women/men beginner – two laps, women/men intermediate – four laps, and women/men advanced – six laps.
Winners for top three in each age category will receive medals.
