Keep Laredo Beautiful and the City Environmental Services Department (ESD) are in preparation for a May 7 Household Waste Collection event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the El Metro Park and Ride facility at 1800 Hillside.
Laredoans are encouraged to pack up and dispose of cleaning products; old cans of paint, solvents and stains; pool chemicals; pesticides; batteries; and fluorescent light bulbs.
The collection will not accept commercial waste; radioactive and medical waste; ammunition and explosives; used and scrap tires; large kitchen appliances; and furniture.
