Laredoans are urged to attend the Laredo Homeless Preliminary Data Presentation by Dr. Robert G. Marbut Jr. on Wednesday, April 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the Laredo Center for the Arts.
Dr. Marbut, a San Antonio consultant to cities trying to assess homelessness and finding solutions to reduce it, has worked in Laredo over the last several months to collect data on the homeless population here as well as data about local non-profits that feed and shelter the homeless and other organizations that could join in the effort.
According to the Marbut Consulting website, Marbut develops “holistic and transformative systems that engage service providers (non-profit, faith-based and government agencies), volunteers, businesses, government and, most importantly, individuals and families that are experiencing homelessness.”
The Laredo Center for the Arts is downtown at 500 San Agustín Avenue. Street parking is available.
