The Laredo Film Society (LFS) will host a live watch party of the biggest night in Hollywood on Sunday, March 27 at the Alamo Drafthouse.
The event, which begins at 7 p.m., is sponsored by the LFS, Alamo Drafthouse Laredo, and ABC Laredo.
In addition to being able to watch this year’s Oscars ceremony live, attendees can walk the red carpet and win prizes.
During commercial breaks, LFS will host film trivia queries in which a winner will receive a gift card from local sponsors such as Lolita’s Bistro, Bolillo’s, Caffe Dolce, Scratch Sandwich Company, Dosis, Gloria’s, Organic Man Coffee Trike and others.
A grand prize will be given to the attendee who guesses the most Academy Award
winners of the night
Guests are encouraged to arrive at 6:30 p.m. to walk the red carpet and take photos.
There will be live coverage by local news station, KGNS-TV. The watch party begins
promptly at 7p.m. Tickets are $15.
The Laredo Film Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding cinematic arts in the Gateway City. All proceeds raised from this event will be used toward expanding a community film school for Lardoons to be able to develop the art of storytelling.
