The Webb County Heritage Foundation will host a book-signing with Wanda Garner Cash, author of Pancho Villa’s Saddle at the Cadillac Bar on Friday, June 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Villa Antigua® Border Heritage Museum, 810 Zaragoza St. A presentation by the author will take place at 6:30 p.m.

The book is part memoir of Nuevo Laredo’s iconic watering hole and part cookbook, recounting the colorful stories of this “magical oasis” that drew border residents as well as international VIPs, and formed endearing memories for generations of visitors.

“With a saddle said to have belonged to Pancho Villa proudly displayed in the main dining room, the Cadillac Bar built a reputation as one of the finest eateries and watering holes in the Southwest, even surviving a 1954 flood that devastated cities on both sides of the Rio Grande,” states the publisher’s notes.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase.
