The City’s online portal and phone lines for first-dose COVID-19 vaccination appointments for Laredoans 65 and older will open Tuesday, February 16, at 8:00 a.m.
Online appointments can be made at www.vaccinatelaredo.com. Phone appointments can be made at 3-1-1.
In consideration of harsh weather conditions, vaccines will be administered on Thursday, February 18.
The City, which will continue to collaborate with community partners including United Independent School District (UISD) and Laredo Independent School District (LISD), will have 12 Points of Dispensing (PODs) across the city.
Of the 5,000 vaccines, 2,960 will be allotted for appointments, of which 592 will be separated for those who registered by phone.
The 12 local PODs are:
UISD (6) – 1,480 vaccines
- Lyndon B. Johnson High School – 9th grade campus
- United High School
- Washington Middle School
- United Middle School – 6th grade campus
- United South High School – 9th grade campus
- Lamar Bruni-Vergara Middle School
LISD (6) – 1,480 vaccines
- Zachry Elementary School
- Daiches Elementary School
- Milton Elementary School
- Lamar Middle School
- Farias Elementary School
- Leyendecker Elementary School
As a HUB for vaccine distribution, the City will send the balance of the vaccines to Rio Bravo (80), El Cenizo (60), Webb County (10), Zapata County (250), Jim Hogg County (90), the SOS Home-bound Program (600), and health care providers who have not been administered their COVID-19 vaccine.
