Domestic Violence Coalition to host 24th Annual Conference in virtual formal

The Webb County Domestic Violence Coalition and Webb County District Attorney Isidro “Chilo” Alaniz will host the 24th Annual Domestic Violence Conference in an entirely virtual format on each Thursday of October 2020. 

The conference kicks off with the 24th Annual Domestic Violence Coalition Proclamation, a virtual event, on Thursday, October 1, at 10 a.m. to proclaim October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month.  

The conference itself begins Thursday, October 8, at 10 a.m. and will be held every Thursday in October through October 29.

The presentation topics include Racism/Inequalities and Domestic Violence; Male Victims and Domestic Violence; Domestic Violence and the LGBTQ+ Community; and Domestic Violence in Laredo.

The conference will include speakers and advocates from all over the state of Texas. All participants must register online at 24thdvconference.eventbrite.com  CLEs and CEUs will be available for the conference, and all attendees will receive a certificate of attendance. The cost to register is $50 for attorneys, nurses, counselors, and social workers seeking professional continuing education credits. Registration is free for all other participants.
