Cadets, parents, students, and others in the community will gather Saturday, June 27, from noon to 1 p.m. on the sidewalk at the corner of Park and San Bernardo (outside MHS fence) to stand in unity and support for the construction of an obstacle course complex for the Martin High School JROTC.
Face masks and social distancing are required for participation in the peaceful gathering.
The nationally recognized MHS JROTC has asked the LISD board and the current and former superintendents for the obstacle course on the MHS campus for more than a decade.
Organizers of the gathering have extended an invitation to LISD board members and Supt. Sylvia Rios to join them Saturday.
