It is with regret that I inform my fellow citizens that our beloved nation, the beacon of freedom since 1776, is now officially a fascist state led by an authoritarian dictator. It took the so-called president over 1,232 days since swearing on two Bibles and swearing to obey and uphold the Constitution, to show us his true colors. I first stated my glum predictions for this administration December 29, 2016.
Over the last 40 months I wrote about the signs of fascism creeping from Washington and the White House. It started slowly simmering and has now reached a boiling point. As any intelligent citizen knows there is something fundamentally unwell with the President. Fifty-two Republican Senators, including Cornyn and Cruz, refused to hear evidence against their leader in his impeachment trial and voted to keep him in for one more year.
Their mistake has come back to haunt them. Trump has a peculiar obsession with dictators, despots, and strong men in totalitarian countries and speaks admiringly about their regimes. All of us counted on Congress and the Supreme Court to hold him in check, but the group of fanatics and evangelicals supporting him forced most Republicans to do his bidding. His folded-arm demeanor and scowl have always reminded me of the Italian fascist Mussolini. He calls the free press the enemy of the people, as past and present dictators have done. He solemnly gloats that he has “total authority” and must not be questioned. Any loyal administration member who is forced out and proceeds to tell the truth about this Wizard of Oz is immediately attacked, ridiculed. and even investigated.
Sixteen months ago, I questioned his mental well-being and warned: The question is not whether the president is mentally ill, the question is whether he is dangerous. We have watched his obvious dangerousness in horror the past few weeks. His shocking walk to a place of worship, surrounded by his top military advisors, including one in full camouflage and his Attorney General who ordered peaceful protestors to be tear-gassed to get them out of the way was a study in total authoritarianism that would be expected from Kim Jon Un or Vladimir Putin. He actually called these peaceful protestors “terrorists.” He has officially labeled a group called Antifa a terrorist group. Antifa means anti-fascist. Apparently, Trump believes anyone being against fascism is worthy of being labeled a terrorist organization. I have yet to hear him label the group that stormed the Minnesota Capital and spit in policemen’s faces a terrorist group. Instead he labeled them “very fine people” and excused their behavior by saying they were angry at the Government. The Klu Klux Klan has officially endorsed the president for re-election. His secret police is presently guarding the White House with no name tags. He has erected a wall around the people’s house, the White House, and was rushed to his underground shelter when the protests got too loud. What courage.
It is not too late to remove this hate-filled cancer from power this November 3rd. I beseech everyone to register to vote and to vote in record numbers to remove the most authoritarian administration ever foisted upon us. Fascism must be voted out and never be allowed again.
Amen, Carnal! Avoid the lines. Early voting starts October 19. It’s time to rid OUR White House of the vermin presently infesting it.
Miller is to Trump as Goebbels was to Hitler. The irony is that Miller is of Jewish persuasion and Goebbels was hell-bent to kill Jews.
I was raised to not hate other persons, but Trump makes that difficult.
We should begin the healing and stop the asinine border wall construction when rational citizens vote Baby Trump and his sycophants out in less than 5 months.
