LAREDO, Texas—The City of Laredo has issued a fifth amended emergency ordinance in response to the COVID-19 health emergency. The fifth amended ordinance, signed by Mayor Pete Saenz on May 7, 2020, is amended to not conflict with Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s Executive Order GA-21, released on May 5, 2020, and also provides updates on face coverings, city parks and amenities, among others.
