Center for Public Policy Priorities offering remote summer internships to help build an equitable and just Texas

 The Austin-based Center for Public Policy Priorities (CPPP) is hiring full-time paid summer interns to work remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The research and data interns will provide data resources to stakeholders, help produce cross-issue reports, and create data products that highlight disparities across race, ethnicity, and gender in the pursuit of CPPP’s vision for a more equitable and just Texas. The internships are a good fit for students with an interest in data management and analysis and its relation to policy development. 

Candidates must be enrolled graduate or undergraduate students. The deadline to apply is May 8.

There are three areas of internships.The Economic Opportunity Policy intern will focus on CPPP’s public education, good jobs, and medical debt work. This position will assist with several priorities of the Economic Opportunity Team, including drafting briefs, policy reports, and external communications. Apply today.

The Higher Education Policy & Advocacy intern will work closely with the Economic Opportunity Team to assist in the launch of the Policy Leaders of Tomorrow initiative — a pilot higher education policy fellowship program. Apply today.

The Health & Wellness Policy intern will assist with the research and writing of a policy report designed to expand access to kinship caregiver supports and/or federal nutrition programs; and conduct a significant amount of health care access coalition/campaign administration and support duties. Because of the duties involved, the ideal successful Health & Wellness intern will be interested in and considered for continuation through May 2021.
