Center for the Arts hosts “Think Pink: Paint the Patriarchy Pink”

Enjoy a beautiful Spring evening in the heART of downtown Laredo at the Center for the Art’s celebration of International Women’s Day on Thursday, March 12, with “Think Pink: Paint the Patriarchy Pink” Exhibit. An opening family- and pet-friendly reception begins at 5 p.m. and features a “Think Pink” signature cocktail, a children’s activity focused on female artists, female artists interactive selfie booths, Tarot card readings, Laredo Sustainable Society Swap, and a DJ set by The Pop Rocks.

The exhibit will include works highlighting, exploring, and examining women’s issues such as women as artists, roles in society, place in society, ageism, body positivity, sexism, marginalization of women, female heroes and leaders, equal pay, reproductive rights female sexuality, ecent political movements such as Time’s Up, Women’s March, and Free the Nipple.
