Photographer and artist Nik Mills will be in Laredo with his mobile photo studio and will stop at Cultura Beer Garden on Sat. Jan. 25 at 6 p.m.
Mills has traveled around the nation with a mobile film studio that is a camper outfitted with studio lighting and professional backdrops for high quality portraits. His previous mobile studio tour took him to Portland, Oregon where he invited passers-by on the street to photograph.
He will travel along the U.S.-Mexico border with this project, and Laredo is his first stop.
Mills has worked as a fashion designer, sculptor, and muralist. His works are part of the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and Musée de la Mode et du Costume in Paris. His murals can be found at several NYC restaurants and clubs such as Canal Bar, The China Club, and Indochine.
