Laredo veterans will get a salute of appreciation from Laredo College (LC) faculty and staff at annual Veterans Day observance ceremonies on Monday, Nov. 11, at the Pvt. David B. Barkeley Cantu Veterans’ Memorial Chapel.
Mayor Pete Saenz will serve as master of ceremonies for this tribute to selfless service. Major General Richard “Rick” J. Noriega of the Texas Army National Guard will keynote the event.
LC cordially invites the community to meet these local heroes, to thank them, and to learn their courage and sacrifices.
LC is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Pvt. David B. Barkeley Cantu Veterans’ Memorial Chapel with a bench dedication after the event, which is open to the public.
Light refreshments will be served immediately following the bench dedication at the Millicent B. Slaughter Heritage Center.
