“Less Pollution for a Better Future” Is the theme of the 10th Annual Laredo Environmental Summit, which is set for Tuesday, October 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Texas A&M International University Student Center Ballroom.
The forum is open to the public.
The Summit is designed to engage and empower Laredoans, elected officials, members of the business sector, and grassroots leaders to identify environmental issues and come up with tangible solutions that bring about positive and sustainable change to the environment.
Participants will learn about on-going efforts that are building, shaping, and having an impact on the future of Laredo,
The Summit offers an opportunity to explore ideas presented by professionals in various environmental capacities to help participants recognize the importance of protecting natural resources, identifying possible environmental challenges within the community, instilling environmental stewardship, and encouraging involvement in maintaining and improving the environment.
The leadership of State Senator Judith Zaffirini and partnerships with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), City of Laredo, Webb County, Texas A&M International University, and grassroots leaders have made the Summit possible.
