A juried exhibit of the art of 25 of the best student entries opens August 29 at the Martha Fenstermaker Memorial Visual Arts Gallery in the Visual and Performing Arts Center at the Fort McIntosh Campus. An opening reception begins at 4:30 p.m.

Art media on display includes drawings, paintings, ceramics, sculpture, photography, art metals, digital art, and mixed media.

The exhibit is open to the public.

“The aim of the exhibit is to showcase the student artwork that is created in LC studio art courses from fall 2018 and spring 2019 semester classes,” said Visual and Preforming Arts Chair Eva Soliz. “We want the public to enjoy and experience the art created by our hardworking and talented students, and possibly be inspired to take a course themselves.”

Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The exhibit will run through Sept. 13.
