The Laredo Stroke Support Group (LSSG) has opened a new office inside the Ruthe B. Cowl Rehabilitation center at 1220 N. Malinche Ave.

LSSG is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by stroke through the use of meaningful group encouragement, local networking support, and free therapy services.

Through an adaptive program, LSSG strives to offer therapies that best suit the needs of stroke survivors. In turning victims into survivors, LSSG’s efforts remain focused on the resiliency and capacity to build on the things that stroke cannot take away.

The Cowl Center’s board of directors and its administrators welcome LSSG to its facility at a July 8 ribbon cutting.

The Cowl Center continues to be the only not-for-profit out-patient rehabilitation facility within a 150-mile radius that offers therapy services to individuals regardless of age, origin, race, nationality, creed, or economic status.

The LSSG and Ruthe B. Cowl Rehabilitation Center will work in tandem to enhance their relationships with the Laredo community by continuing to serve those in need.
