The Seventh Annual U.S. – Mexico Bi-national Health Conference about Diseases and Emergencies is set for Friday, July 12, at the UT Health Science Center Campus at 1937 E. Bustamante.
The conference, which covers a broad spectrum of topics endemic to the border, is sponsored by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, the Texas Department of State Health Services, and the Area Health Education Center (AHEC).
Topics for the one-day event include cancer, fatty liver in overweight Laredo children, diabetes, human trafficking, injuries and violence prevention, living healthy or dying young, preventable child deaths, genetic genomics and precision medicine, and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
