The Laredo Film Society (LFS), a local nonprofit dedicated to cultivating a love for cinema in South Texas, is conducting market research to hear what kinds of movies Laredoans want to see and to improve the Society’s programming in 2019.

The online survey, which is both in English and Spanish, is at bit.ly/LFS-CitySurvey.

According to LFS member Gabriela Treviño, contributing opinions will help determine the market to which LFS will cater. “If you are tired of having limited options at local theatres, you may want to sound off by taking the survey,” she said.

In the past, the LFS has screened independent films, documentaries, and art-house films to bring programming diversity to Laredo audiences. The Society’s mission is to use films as tools for community discussion and engagement.

The survey period is January 23 through February 1. For further information, contact Treviño at gabrielafilm.org

(The Laredo Film Society was founded in February 2018 with the mission to empower the community and educate the public through the exhibition of film and media arts.
The Society screens independent, classic, and alternative films, as well as hosts workshops for aspiring filmmakers. By providing cinematic experiences to the everyday cinephile, from the novice to the expert, the LFS aims to cultivate a love for cinematic arts in the South Texas community.)
