The Río Grande International Study Center is actively seeking golfers and sponsors for its 9th Annual Birdies on the Rio golf tournament Saturday, January 5, at The Max.

The forecast calls for a sunny day with a high of 70º. The tournament format is a two-person Florida scramble in five flights.
Registration begins at 7 a.m. The entry fee is $150 per person and includes breakfast, lunch, Bloody Marys, Tequila Sunrise, two beverage tickets, a goody bag, Mulligans, skills contests, and chances at door prizes.
Flight prizes are $350 for first place and $150 for second place per team per flight.
Prizes include a 12-ft. fishing kayak, Bose products, LED TVs, Sound Bar, RTIC Products, Firesticks, Roku, Echo Dot, Bluetooth speakers, and many gift cards.
Hole-in-One prizes include $10,000 on Holes #6, 9, and 12 by Escamilla Used Cars and Trucks, a car from Family Chevrolet, a car from Sames Auto, golf trips, a shot at $50,000 for four lucky participants, and a $2,500 putting contest.
