The Laredo College Classified Staff Council (CSC) will host an open forum on Dec. 6 for board of trustee candidates in the December runoff races for places 4 and 6. The forum begins at 5:30 p.m. in the De La Garza Building.

The Place 4 candidates are Jorge Delgado and Justin Allen Hundsnurscher. Place 6 candidates are Esteban Rangel and Annette Bonugli.

The CSC will moderate the forum.

The forum will provide an opportunity to hear from the candidates on the issues relative to student and employee matters. The CSC represents classified staff from both the Ft. McIntosh and South campuses and provides a recognized channel of communication between staff and the rest of the college community.

“The CSC is comprised of individuals who service all aspects of the college,” said Joya Vidaurri, who represents the CSC. “We look forward to hosting the trustee runoff candidates in an open forum,” Vidaurri added. “We encourage the public to attend and to have the opportunity to hear the candidates’ views, goals, and priorities for our institution.”

The Board of Trustees is a nine-member, citizen-led panel that serves as the official governing body for the two-campus Laredo College District. Trustees hold monthly public meetings, as well as special-called meetings and committee meetings throughout the year.

The public is invited to attend the forum.
