Laredo College students will moderate an open forum for board of trustee candidates running in the November 6 General Election.

The forum is set for Tuesday, October 30, at 6 p.m. in the Kazen Student Center at the Fort McIntosh Campus.

Allen Tijerina, the incumbent for Place 4, faces challengers Justin Allen H., Jorge Delgado, Bobbie J. Ceballos, and Feliciano Garcia.

Place 5 incumbent Rene de la Viña is in a race with Marcos Escamilla, Lupita Zepeda, and Frank Sciaraffa.

The candidates for Place 6 are Esteban Rangel, Annette Bonugli, and Horacio “Lacho” Lopez IV.

The public is invited to attend. LC students are especially encouraged to meet the candidates who, if elected, will address student concerns and issues.

The LC board of trustees is a nine-member, citizen-led panel that serves as the official governing body for the two-campus Laredo College District.
