The best Bolillo’s breakfast is at the smaller location on Saunders, but the service ranges from good to indifferent. The service is far more attentive and consistently good at the McPherson location.

If you haven’t enjoyed the Webb County Heritage Foundation’s Halloween movies on the patio, you’ve got one last chance to see the last of three Friday at the Villa Antigua Border Heritage Museum, which is on Zaragoza across from American Legion Post 59. Movie time is 7 p.m. A hotdog-ero at the site serves an epic homage to the Mexican hot dog, but you may also bring your own picnic. Families are welcome and there is no admission fee. And there’s a great Haunted Laredo exhibit in the museum.
