The Webb County Heritage Foundation (WCHF) presents its annual nod to Halloween with Movies on the Patio Friday, Oct. 5, Friday Oct. 12, and Friday, Oct. 19 at the Villa Antigua Border Heritage Museum.

Showtime is 7:30 p.m.

The foundation will screen El Charro de las Calaveras on Oct. 5. The 1965 Mexican film features a masked hero who combats a werewolf, a vampire, and a headless horseman.

The Oct. 12 feature is It’s Alive, the 1974 American cult classic. According to IMDb, the story line is thus: The Davies expect a baby, which turns out to be a monster with a nasty habit of killing when it’s scared. And it’s easily scared.

The Oct. 19 feature is The Tingler, a 1959 horror classic starring Vincent Price.

The screenings are free and open to the public. Laredoans are invited to bring their own treats or to buy them from the food vendors who have contributed to the annual event with delicious food and soft drinks. Hecho A Mano’s pop-up shops will be part of the festivities.
