The roster for candidates in the upcoming November 6 elections continues to expand.
The following candidates running for City positions have filed their campaign treasurer information with the office of City Secretary Joe Valdez:
Rogelio Benavides, who will challenge District I City Council member Rudy Gonzalez;
Gabriel López, who will run against incumbent District II City Council member Vidal Rodriguez;
Anastacio Barrera, Manuel Osorio, Ruben Salinas III, and Mercurio Martinez III, who seek to fill the vacancy District III Council member Alex Perez will leave;
Teresita McGraw, Dr. Marte Martinez Jr., Fernando Alarcon Jr., Rafael Dueñes, Richard Laurel, Juan Alejandro, Lakshmana Viswanath, Francisco Castillo, and Juan Ramirez Jr. who will vie for the vacancy left by District VI Council member and mayor pro tem Charlie San Miguel, who will finish his last term and who reportedly has aspirations to be the City’s mayor;
Jesus Dominguez and Rodolfo Mora who are running for the Municipal Court bench that will be vacated by Judge Rosie Cuellar at the end of her term.
