The Webb Soil and Water Conservation District #337 and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host their annual ranch tour on November 9 at 8:30 a.m. at Lobo Creek Ranch.
Speakers at the morning event include range specialist Dr. Wayne Halselka; veterinarian Dr. T.R. Landsford III, assistant executive director of the Texas Animal Commission; USDA/NRCS rangeland management specialist Vivian García; USDA/APHIS officer Jerry Gonzalez, Webb SWCD #337 chair Memo Benavides Z., and Los Lobos Ranch owner Hugo Flores.
Topics include brush management, an update on fever ticks; a plant treatment demonstration; and an update on the Mexican fruit fly quarantine.
