Laredo Theater Guild International will host auditions August 19 and 20 for The House on Mango Street, which was written by Sandra Cisneros and adapted by Amy Ludwig.
The auditions will run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on both days at LCC’s Guadalupe and Lilia Martinez Fine Arts Center, room 102.
The audition roles are Young Esperanza,12; older Esperanza, mid to late 30s; and an ensemble/chorus of three men and three women in multiple roles of all ages, late teens and up.

As The House on Mango Street is the LTGI’s “Class on Stage” production, there will be special exclusive showings earlier that week for participating schools.
Auditions for LTGI productions provide an opportunity to meet the production team and to volunteer on stage and behind the scenes to help with crew, hair, makeup, and costumes.
Visit the LTGI site at laredotheaterguild.org to download the audition sheet and fill it out in advance, or go to the non-profit’s Facebook page for more information or to post questions.
